I ran everything one more time, and nothing is detected the second time through. dll it thought had an issue, Sophos caught a Trojan, and Avira found what I thought was the root of the problem, pheonix.exe. MalwareBytes Anti-Rootkit detected likely rootkit activty and deleted a random. HitmanPro3 flags my proxy server, but crashes within 4-6 seconds. I grab my backup anti-virus flashdrive with the stronger stuff on it, and run a second round of scans. I run ComboFix, which crashes the computer, and upon reboot I find that ComboFix has been deleted just like Chrome. MalwareBytes, MSE, and AdWareCleaner all can't dectect anything. I immediately go into "I've got a virus" mode, and run my set of scanners. Soon after, my internet goes out entirely despite a soild wireless and wired connection. I come back, and I find that running Chrome freezes the computer. I'm here for my first post because I need some help to kick this virus.Īpparently my roommate turned on my computer while I was gone, and left it on for the whole weekend.
